Quiet snow falls. Warm candlelight and the smell of the Christmas tree. Kutya on the table. And outside the window, it is dark and quiet... The earth loses its delight... the Savior will come soon and fill our world with light and joy. Christ is born! Praise him! In these holy days, we want to give a holiday to those children who usually lack it, our little wards not only suffered from the war in the east but also have a disability. Among them, there are 16 children with cerebral palsy, 5 are blind, 2 girls are diagnosed with SMA, 1 is a chronic renal failure and one has oncology in remission. Only 25 children.
PROJECTS, NEW YEAR (5 of 5)
The snow is falling quietly. Warm candles light and smell of Christmas trees. Festive food on the table. And outside the window is dark and quiet... The earth is filled with exciting... the Savior will soon come and fill our world with brightness and joy. Christ is born!
Do you remember the happy kids’ smiles after we collected funds last year and the year before last to give season’s presents to Mariupol’s orphans? Their eyes and their smiles are impossible to forget. A year has passed since, a lot of things have changed, but this time of the year the kids expect the miracle to repeat. Driven by the festive spirit of the season, we look forward to helping the kids get their bit of miracle.
The New Year is a favorite holiday since childhood. But when you become an adult you understand that every child is different. For many, it is a memory of pre-holiday preparations, gifts from Grandfather Frost, sleigh rides in the yard. And for children with disabilities, this holiday is a bit different every year. Although the mother, who is always near and trying to make a fairy tale for her child, and the large amount of expenses that are needed for a disabled child – the purchase of medicines, the collection of funds for rehabilitation, treatment, examination, the purchase of rehab means – take away the entire budget of family, relatives and loved ones.
Today, the staff of our foundation appeals to you, as winter holidays are coming to Ukraine – St. Mykolai Day, New Year's Day and the great holiday of all Christians – Christmas. To help those who are waiting for her is a noble cause, so we turn personally to everyone for help. Only with our common help, St. Mykolai and Santa Claus on the New Year will be able to come with a desired gift to the children who need it most.
